Introducing the Laurent Brondel Honeycaster Hybrid — a stunning custom creation that masterfully fuses the timeless DNA of Fender's Telecaster and Stratocaster into a single boutique-built instrument. Finished in a pristine Olympic White nitro-cellulose lacquer, this one-of-a-kind guitar exudes vintage vibe while offering modern playability.
The alder body provides a balanced, resonant foundation, complemented by a beautifully carved curly maple neck with a Honduran rosewood laminated fingerboard. The 9.5” radius and 1 5/8” nut width deliver an ideal mix of vintage character and contemporary comfort. The neck profile is inspired by a classic 1958 Fender "C" shape, measuring .84” at the first fret and .98” at the twelfth fret, fitted with Jescar 51100 fretwire for smooth, effortless bends and clear articulation.
Equipped with Ron Ellis pickups — a bold 52T in the bridge and a versatile 50/60S set for the middle and neck positions — this guitar covers an impressive range of tones. From the punchy midrange and snap of the Tele-inspired bridge to the woody clarity and bell-like chime of the Strat-inspired pickups, it offers exceptional tonal versatility. The unique wiring layout combines these pickups for a range of classic and hybrid sounds, with the bridge and middle pickups activated together for that unmistakable hybrid character.
Hardware features a Kluson Tele bridge with Rutters steel saddles for precise intonation and stability, along with vintage-style Gotoh staggered tuners that ensure reliable tuning stability. The custom Spitfire pickguard enhances its distinctive aesthetic, while the overall weight is a manageable 7lbs 1oz, providing both comfort and tonal resonance.
