Hi, my name is Scott Heatley, I live in Canada and I build guitars.
Heatley Guitars was founded in 1997 with a very humble loan and a tiny shop. From the beginning the idea was to build high quality guitars in small numbers and it remains that way to this day. The output is kept limited to ensure the quality stays high. I used my years as a tech before I started building to hone my setup and fretwork skills. In the 80s I was the guy you brought your Kramer or Jackson to to get the Floyd Rose setup properly. If you had a bunch of parts you wanted made into a guitar, I was the guy to get it done. Initially I started building to satisfy my own obsession and need for more guitars. I actually started the business so I could have more guitars. It took off faster than I thought and after a few years it turned into a full blown shop with a CNC machine and all the toys. I build guitars because I am obsessed with them and I love to build. It is my art and my passion.
The specs are a guideline for your build. I use information you give me to tailor the guitar to the sound you want. This includes wood selection and pickup choice. Every guitar becomes its own unique piece and a work of art through collaboration between you and I. The process can be a lot of fun and very rewarding. In the end the goal is to build a vibrant instrument that gives you joy and satisfaction for years to come.
Usually I don’t like renaming a particular model unless its a complete redesign with a new body style. However, I wanted to distinguish The Beaumont from The Parisienne because it’s a bolt on model and not a set neck. It also has a new headstock and in my opinion a different vibe that the Parisienne. Without further ado I give you the Beaumont. It’s cool, it rocks, it twangs. It’ll even Djent if you’re brave enough. With all kinds of finish and hardware options The Beaumont can be tailored to just about anyone's style.
