Gibson Les Paul Custom 1979 Silver Burst w/ OHSC Great Condition & Playability (1-owner guitar)

Available is a 1979 Les Paul Custom in its original Silver Burst finish. This guitar has just had a beautiful pro-setup and new nut installed; the original nut is inside the case. This LP Custom is playing and sounding awesome. The Silver Burst is becoming quite a popular finish and this is from the first full year that Gibson offered it. The Silver Burst finish was a way for Gibson to celebrate the 25th year the LP. Production started around late 78. This example is in mostly original condition and has had only one owner. The pots were recently replaced but the old harness is in the case. At least one of the tone pots on the vintage harness is not original but is period correct.

Pickups are the originals. Frets are original & are in very good condition, especially for their age. The hardware is also original such as the tuners, bridge & tailpiece. Guard and back plates are all original.

This particular example is structurally perfect however Gibson marked it as a Factory 2nd on the back of the headstock. This was because there was a finish blemish when it was brand new. The original owner recalled where it was and honestly it is so minimal that now you can't see it unless you are up close to the top and tilting the guitar directly under a strong light. Doing this you'll see a tiny flaw in the form of a line where you can see what looks like natural wood grain beneath the finish. 

Playability wise this Les Paul Custom l is a real treat. It encompasses the sound of early PAF fitted Les Paul Customs, while having a unique and 100% Rock and Roll look with its original Silver Burst finish throughout the entire instrument. Body and neck.
