Candy Old Guitars was born from the passion, dedication, and craftsmanship of guitar maker Javier Alemany.
The Nacho Connection
Between 2015 and the end of 2021, Javier played a key role in the creation of the world-renowned Nacho Guitars, overseeing much of the manufacturing process, including painting and aging. During this time, he developed his own signature techniques for finishing and treating instruments, achieving the authentic look and feel of classic 1950s guitars. He also had the opportunity to work closely with, and study in depth, a wide range of original instruments from that golden era.
In late 2021, driven by a desire to push his craft even further, Javier set out to create his own project: Candy Old Guitars. Free from limitations, he now devotes himself entirely to refining every detail of the building process, with a particular focus on painting, aging, and wood treatment.
Each guitar is individually crafted, featuring a unique hand-carved neck profile, finished in nitrocellulose lacquer using an exclusive formula, and fitted with premium pickups and electronics. The result is an instrument of exceptional quality—one that captures the look, feel, and character of the most iconic guitars of the 1950s and ’60s.
