This 1973 Fender Telecaster Thinline is a fantastic example of why these semi-hollow body Teles are so sought after. Made in the USA, it remains completely original, from the finish to the hardware, and looks nearly brand new; like a true closet find, with a remarkably well-preserved finish.
Weighing just 6lbs 10oz, it’s lightweight, resonant, and a joy to play. It features Fender’s original “vintage-tall” jumbo fret wire, one of the early models to showcase this spec, offering a smooth and expressive feel. They have just been polished and have a full life ahead of them.
The Seth Lover-designed Wide Range humbuckers, paired with the original 1 Meg pots, deliver exceptional clarity with a bold, dynamic presence that cuts through a mix beautifully. There’s a small shim between the neck and body on the bass side, while we don’t find it necessary, it’s been left intact.
Professionally set up in our shop, this 52 year old Thinline is playing phenomenally and comes with its original case.
