This rare and brand new, Lumière Guitars’ Thinline T in Sunburst is a beautifully executed expression of hand-built craftsmanship from Buenos Aires. Known for creating resonant, deeply musical instruments, Lumière approaches each build with an artisan sensibility that favors touch, tone, and character over mass production. This Thinline T carries that voice forward with a warm, lively semi-hollow body and a level of hand detail that sets it apart, including hand-laid herringbone purfling that frames the top with a refined, bespoke aesthetic.
Spanish Cedar forms the body, chosen for its lightweight resonance and organic musicality, while the spruce top adds clarity, shimmer, and dynamic sensitivity. The neck is crafted from Yellow Pine Lumière’s preferred wood for its lively feel and topped with a Bolivian Rosewood fingerboard bordered by sleek black binding, giving it a subtle, elegant contrast. The Medium Soft V-C (most popular) carve sits comfortably, measuring .85” to .97”, and paired with a 9.5” radius and 6105 fretwire, the guitar feels fast, expressive, and easy to control.
Sonically, this build has a wide, expressive voice. The Lollar P-90 in the neck offers creamy cleans, articulate mids, and an airy openness, while the Lollar Vintage T bridge brings the unmistakable bite, sparkle, and dynamic snap of a great Tele. The semi-hollow design adds warmth and an acoustic-like responsiveness, making the guitar equally suited for clean, atmospheric playing and more driven textures. This combination of woods, scale length, and premium pickups places the instrument firmly within the tonal world favored by players like Jim Campilongo and Joey Landreth, both known for their expressive touch and nuanced articulation and both of whom have signature models built by Lumiére. The lather being a semi-hollow build like this particular instrument.
