This custom-built Novo Serus J perfectly captures the company's philosophy of combining vintage-inspired design with modern craftsmanship and effortless playability. Finished in an eye-catching Surf Green over a '64 3-Tone Burst (FOF) with a tasteful medium distress treatment, the finish subtly reveals the classic sunburst beneath, giving the guitar the appearance of a well-loved instrument that has spent decades on the road.
The tempered pine body keeps the instrument lightweight and exceptionally resonant, while the figured tempered maple neck adds stability, snap, and visual elegance. A comfortable Medium C neck profile (.830") is paired with a compound 9.5"–14" radius fingerboard and Jescar 47095 frets, providing a familiar vintage feel in the lower register with effortless bends and modern playability higher up the neck.
Loaded with a pair of Fralin Hum-Cancelling Alnico P-90s with nickel covers, this Serus J delivers everything players love about great P-90s—full, articulate cleans, rich midrange, and dynamic response—without the traditional single-coil hum.
