This 2010 Chasson Classic is a beautifully balanced, lightly built acoustic that leans into warmth, responsiveness, and a very natural, broken-in feel. There’s a softness to the attack that you typically only get from a well-played instrument, paired with a clarity that keeps everything articulate and defined.

The Western Red Cedar top gives this guitar an immediate, open response with a slightly darker, more rounded character compared to spruce. It reacts effortlessly to a light touch, making it especially rewarding for fingerstyle and more dynamic playing. Paired with Claro Walnut back and sides, there’s a nice balance here. You get warmth and depth, but also a focused midrange and a controlled top end that never feels overly bright.

Visually, the walnut brings a subtle richness, while the leopardwood binding adds a unique, understated detail that sets it apart without feeling overdone. It’s a thoughtful build that feels rooted in tradition but still carries its own identity.

The neck carve and 16" compound radius make for a very comfortable playing experience up and down the board. It feels smooth, stable, and easy to settle into, whether you’re playing for a few minutes or a few hours.

Built by Kent Chasson, this is a great example of his work from that period. It’s an honest, well-voiced instrument that prioritizes feel and musicality above all else.

Great amp. Exactly what I was looking for. I've been able to get great tones at volumes I can play at home without making my wife and kids hate me. I've tried lots of complex solutions in my attempts to accomplish this over the years but nothing I tried really got me there. The Swingland delivered.
