The Aclam Woman Tone is a carefully voiced overdrive and tone-shaping pedal inspired by one of the most recognizable guitar sounds in rock history — the smooth, violin-like lead tones associated with Eric Clapton’s legendary “woman tone” era. Rather than functioning as a typical mid-heavy overdrive, the Woman Tone focuses on delivering thick, vocal sustain with a softened high end and rich harmonic bloom that feels incredibly expressive under the fingers.

At its core, the pedal recreates the warm, singing response traditionally achieved by rolling down a guitar’s tone control into a cranked British-style amp. The result is a fluid lead voice with smooth sustain, focused mids, and a rounded top end that never becomes muddy or overly compressed. Notes retain excellent articulation while developing a vocal-like quality that works beautifully for blues, classic rock, fusion, and expressive melodic playing.

The Woman Tone also offers enough flexibility to move beyond purely vintage-inspired sounds.
