This Benson Amps Chimera Reverb combo amp is in great condition and sounds immaculate. Incredible tube driven spring reverb, that is very much like their Tall-Bird Reverb Unit, and utilizes a 3-spring pan, for a more robust Plate-Reverb like tone. A lot of clean headroom is on tap in this combo, especially with the upgraded Celestion G12 Alnico Creamback speaker, that is paired with a Celestion G12H. This way you get the clarity and bite of the G12H Ceramic magnet speaker and a bit of a warmer more intimate tone in conjunction with the Alnico Creamback. The amp comes with a beautiful custom Benson Amps/Cully Craft made, green canvas cover. This Chimera is in truly great shape with no tolex or grill cloth rips or dents.Â
