Carlos Lopez of Castedosa Guitars is prominently known as the Fender Custom Shop Master Builder who brought the fabled Fender Marauder (a 1960’s prototype offset guitar that never went into production) into the mainstream. He has also built some of the most unique offerings the Fender Custom Shop has ever seen. Carlos is no stranger to building high-end guitars. His career as a luthier spans nearly two decades, building instruments for many of the worlds most recognized musicians.
A few years back after choosing to leave Fender in order to have more time with his family, Carlos decided to move forward building under his own brand name Castedosa Guitars alongside his wife Stephanie Lopez who winds the incredible pickups found in each unique Castedosa build.
The Conchers Baritone is a 27” offset with a wide tonal pallet. This example features three hand wound proprietary TS-Mini Humbuckers by Stephanie Lopez. It is finished in Aged (Med Relic) “Aztec Gold” nitro lacquer with a tinted ”Dark Mole” finished 1/4” sawn roasted rock Maple neck.
