Carlos Lopez of Castedosa Guitars is prominently known as the past Fender Custom Shop Master Builder who brought the fabled Fender Marauder (a 1960’s prototype offset guitar that never went into production) into the mainstream. He has also built some of the most unique offerings the Fender Custom Shop has ever seen. Carlos is no stranger to building high-end guitars. His career as a luthier spans nearly two decades, designing and creating instruments for many of the worlds most recognized musicians.
Recently after choosing to leave Fender in order to spend more time with his family; Carlos has decided to move forward building under his own brand name Castedosa Guitars, alongside his wife Stephanie Lopez who winds the incredible pickups found in each unique Castedosa build.
This Conchers Standard is finished in Aged Cadillac Green Metallic with a black pickguard and is equipped with two Castedosa P-90's / "TS-90 Pickups". It features a 25.5” scale and is setup with 10 gauge strings. The available tones, build quality and feel are all top notch.
The dual TS-90's wound by Stephanie Lopez, deliver big P-90 tone with great clarity and note separation. They can be crystal clear when played clean or deliver classic P-90 mid-range grunt and bite when pushed. You'll also notice that they clean up extraordinarily well with your guitars volume knob. This example is finished in Aged Cadilac Green Metallic nitro lacquer with a tinted ”Dark Mole” finished 1/4” sawn roasted Maple neck.
