Carlos Lopez of Castedosa Guitars is prominently known as the Fender Custom Shop Master Builder who brought the fabled Fender Marauder (a 1960’s prototype offset guitar that never went into production) into the mainstream. He has also built some of the most unique offerings the Fender Custom Shop has ever seen. Carlos is no stranger to building high-end guitars. His career as a luthier spans nearly two decades building instruments for many of the worlds most recognized musicians.

Soon after leaving Fender in order to have more time with his family, Carlos decided to move forward building under his own brand name Castedosa Guitars alongside his wife Stephanie Lopez who winds the incredible pickups found in each unique Castedosa build.

The Marianna is the second offering from Castedosa. This model is a 25 1/2” scale T-Style build with a tonal pallet that is sure to please both the most discerning Tele players as well as those looking for a highly resonant T-style instrument with a huge Strat-like neck pickup tone. The bridge pickup sounds full and focused like the best 50’s Tele pickups do. This Marianna STD features two beautifully hand-wound “TS-50’s” pickups by Stephanie Lopez. It is finished in Aged Carbon Black with a tinted ”Dark Mole” finished 1/4” sawn roasted Maple neck.
