The Collision Devices TARS DLX takes fuzz and filtering to another level, combining rich distortion with precise sound-shaping tools. Featuring dual analog filters inspired by the iconic MS-20, it is a deluxe version of the original TARS pedal, built for sonic precision and experimental creativity.



What does the TARS DLX do that the standard TARS doesn't?

The TARS DLX takes the original TARS pedal to a new level, transforming it into a multi-effect powerhouse with expanded fuzz, distortion, and filtering capabilities. Its new 2/4 pole resonant analog High Pass Filter offers precise sound-shaping, while the innovative feedback fuzz circuit delivers heavier gain textures or self-oscillating notes for experimental tones. The addition of a CV/EXP input allows real-time control over the Low Pass or High Pass filters, unlocking dynamic modulation options. The ADD FUZZ feature introduces an unfiltered fuzz signal, creating phasing effects or boosting specific frequencies with ease. Combining the Low Pass and High Pass filters produces a bandpass filter with two easy-to-dial-in resonance points, making it perfect for crafting everything from tight, focused tones to chaotic sonic landscapes. Built entirely in France and assembled by hand, the TARS DLX reflects meticulous craftsmanship and durability, backed by a lifetime warranty.

I had the original GPDI and loved it. Waited anxiously for the new one. Traded the headphone out and aux in for some other useful features but otherwise it’s altogether better… especially for cleans. The IRS are a useful addition of course. Tons of fun to play and can be used in a myriad of ways.

Great amp. Exactly what I was looking for. I've been able to get great tones at volumes I can play at home without making my wife and kids hate me. I've tried lots of complex solutions in my attempts to accomplish this over the years but nothing I tried really got me there. The Swingland delivered.
