With over 36 years of building experience, luthier Chuck Thornton truly knows how to craft an exceptionally fine guitar. His Classic II is based on the traditional Fullerton single cut recipe but with many modern improvements including hand selected tone-woods, for a balanced and light weight instrument that rings like a bell. This particular Classic II weighs in at only 5lbs 10.5oz. It features body contours and an angled neck pocket as well as intonated brass saddles and staggered tuning posts for the utmost stability. The pickups are Harmonic Design's Vintage Plus set. In this guitar these pickups sound crisp with a nice clear top end and slightly more body than most Tele sets. They retain that classic Tele bite we all know and love, with a beautiful singing mid-range that is great for pushing a tube amp into saturation. Like with all Harmonic Design pickups, the noise floor is very low despite their single coil nature.
If you're in the market for a T-style instrument built by one of the finest luthiers today, then this is your ticket. The setup work is flawless and this Classic II balances effortlessly both seated or standing. The guitar is strung with 10-46 gauge strings. Comes w/ HSC and COA/Spec Sheet.
