Adriano Sergio's stunning contribution to the "One Guitars Collection" of 2021. After making its debut with the Boutique Guitar Showcase, this is the first time that Adriano's sculpture-like archtop has been made available for sale through an authorized brick and mortar dealer. Originally this piece was built for the 2021 NAMM show, however NAMM ended up being a virtual show in 2021 due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

The "One Guitars Collection" is part of a yearly collaboration between Ergon Guitars, Teuffel Guitars and Spalt Instruments called the "Projects of Three". Each year this talented trio builds instruments based on a theme like the "Red Collection" of 2020 and the "Gold Collection" of 2022. In 2021 they decided to go a different route and each build a guitar with no guidelines to follow except to build only one instrument per artist. You can read more about the Projects of Three "One Guitars Collection" on their official website. Unfortunately Reverb does not allow us to attach a link. Please feel free to message us and we will provide you with it.

The Acores "One Guitars Collection" model is a fully carved archtop with a single Häussel Humbucker enclosed in an ebony cover. The pickup is slanted so that the bass side gets a better treble response and the treble side gets a better bass response. There are sound-ports built into multiple areas of the body making for a complex voice that is a blast to play solo.

The finish is Gold Rubio which doesn't fully seal the wood, this way you can fully see and feel the natural beauty of the chosen tone woods. The top is carved from a beautiful piece of quilted Maple while the sides and back are made from Spanish Cedar. The neck is also carved from Spanish Cedar with an Ebony fingerboard. Spanish Cedar has lots in common tonally with Mahogany while also being very dense, lightweight and stable. This is a very rich sounding tone wood.

This instrument works for a large variety of playing styles. From finger picking, flat-picking, Jazz, Avant-Garde music, Country, Gypsy Jazz and even heavier styles; as the unique parallel bracing pattern allows this guitar to not only sound great overdriven but also excel in that tonal realm. When introducing gain to this instument the whole guitar opens up beyond what is conceivable without experiencing it for yourself. When you find the sweet spot on your amp, Ergon guitars have a unique sustain element with single notes much like using an E-Bow. This type of liveliness is what blows us away every time we have the pleasure of playing one of Adriano's instruments.

You can expect a fast percussive response and long piano-like sustain despite the carved top and hollow-body construction. The acoustic voice is more like a flat-top than archtop. Very open with even note separation and a nice woody tone. With a clean amp you can expect a warm, complex, open and inviting tonal palate.
