Coming through our doors is this real treat of a early 90's Custom Shop Stratocaster.
Finished in a beautifully aged Ice Blue Metallic, this 1962 Reproduction Strat is Masterbuilt by Yasuhiko Iwanade during the very early days of the Fender Custom Shop. Consider it a "pre-Historic" Custom Shop model before Fender began producing reissues.
For those unfamiliar with Masterbuilder Yasuhiko "Yas" Iwanade, he moved onto to write the landmark book, The Beauty of the Burst after his tenure building at the Fender Custom Shop.
At Fender, Yas was the builder credited for putting Fender back on the path to vintage correctness. An expert and author in the field of vintage guitars, Yas was the educator of all things vintage in the Custom Shop from 1990 until summer 1993.
Yas was instrumental in showing Fender where they had been going wrong in terms of vintage specs and detail. This wasn't welcomed by the team of American builders at first, but Fender and the guitar industry eventually better received this way of thinking.
This 7lb 12oz Stratocaster has a beautiful mid-C neck profile that tapers to almost a D shape in the lower register area of the neck. It is all original and comes with a deluxe gigbag for easy transportation to your next show.
