This Custom Shop 250K Jazzmaster JRN, built in 2023, is a refined take on the classic offset design that blends vintage character with thoughtful modern updates.
It features a two-piece ash body finished in Chocolate Three-Tone Sunburst with a lightly aged Journeyman Relic treatment. The anodized gold pickguard pairs beautifully with the vintage cream plastics, and the RSD JAG/JAZZ bridge along with the traditional vibrato unit delivers great tuning stability and smooth response.
A key tonal distinction is the use of 250K pots, which give this Jazzmaster a more mellow and rounded top end compared to the traditional 1MEG setup. This brings it closer in character to the tones found in classic Telecasters and Stratocasters, offering smoother highs and a more familiar feel while retaining the unique Jazzmaster voice.
The rift-sawn maple neck has a dark AAA rosewood fingerboard and an early ’60s Jazzmaster profile with a compound radius from 9.5 to 12 inches. It plays effortlessly across the entire neck thanks to the 6105 narrow tall frets and clean fretwork.
