This 1964 Fender Jaguar is exactly what a true player wants in one of these instruments. It retains its original neck and body finish, original pickups, electronics, tuners and beautiful tortoise guard, along with a Brazilian rosewood fingerboard with clay dots.
The guitar has flawless playability thanks to a very high end refret with .048" x .095" fret wire, an ideal size for a vintage Fender. Original vintage frets are typically extremely low and often heavily worn after more than 60 years, so this refret makes the guitar substantially more playable while retaining the feel of a vintage Fender.
The original pickups are strong and sound incredible. True pre CBS Jaguar tone with rich mids, smooth highs and a full, balanced low end. Everything you could want from a great set of vintage Jaguar pickups.
A Descendant bridge is currently installed, and the original bridge and mute are included. The guitar is also fitted with a Staytrem tremolo arm and collet, a very player friendly upgrade that allows the arm to be removed effortlessly while keeping it firmly in position during use. It can easily be pushed out of the way when needed without becoming loose or falling around. The original style AVRI arm and collet will also come with the guitar.
The original pots and capacitor remain intact. All switches are original except for the rhythm circuit switch. The original tuners work perfectly.
The original headstock decal shows its age, and we have intentionally left it that way because it suits the character of the guitar. Extra period correct decals are included should the next owner ever decide otherwise.
