This 1966 Fender Tele with Transitional logo is one of the greatest playing Vintage Teles around and holds its own against any Pre-CBS model we've played and then some.

The original pickups sound spectacular and nothing less than what a great Tele should sound like. The neck pickup is round and warm with just enough glossy top end to keep you satisfied clean or overdriven. The bridge pickup gives you the pinnacle of Tele tone in spades. It can cut through a mix with ease without ever sounding harsh. Whether you are playing Country, Rock, Blues or Jazz all pickup positions seem to be exemplary and excel in all genres. The middle position is classic Tele tones with a nice thumping tone for Atkins-Style fingerpicking. The vintage pots, 3-way pickup selector switch and input jack are still assembled and come in the case as do the original frets. The guitar now sports two low-friction Bournes pots for volume and tone and a new CTS 3 way switch, all high-quality components, with the ability to put back the original parts if preferred. One of the pots on the old wiring harness may be from a slightly later period. The guitar features a pro-refret and new bone nut (original nut included as well as original frets included in sale) The guitar plays perfectly with low action and perfect intonation due part in that the original saddles are in the case and the this Tele is set-up with one of the best new Saddle Sets out there by Glendale called the Groovy 60's intone cutting edge Steel compensated saddles. The action is set up nice and low at only 3 1/2 & 4 64ths at the 12th fret E to E. The nut width is 1 5/8" and the neck is a wonderful feeling Medium C which is classic for this era. The guitar weighs in around 7.5ibs which we believe is the perfect Tele weight not way to light and definitely not to heavy. This Telecaster plays cleanly and doesn't fret out in the upper registers, due to one of the greatest set-ups we've ever seen by Mirabella Guitars.

We don’t want to tear the guitar apart as it is so perfectly amd freshly setup by Cris Mirabella (a greatly respected and well-known Archtop guitar builder) The Stamp at the heel reads Oct 66 B as we had to take it off for the setup but didn’t think to take a picture. (See the last pic as well)

(Comes in OHSC with parts mentioned above)
