This early Fender Telecaster Thinline features the rarer mahogany semi-hollow body, giving it a warmer and woodier response than the more common ash examples. It’s an exceptionally resonant guitar, light and open-sounding, with the deeper bass horn and single string tree found on the early runs.
All original with its original hard case, except for a recent professional refret by Laurent Brondel using Jescar NS 51100 wire. A new bone nut was installed during the refret, and the pickguard cracks were cleanly repaired with a carbon-fiber veneer, adding stability without disturbing the vintage look. The guitar is clean overall, showing tasteful checking and light playwear that match its age.
