The Fryette Power Station PS-2A is one of those rare pieces that completely changes how you interact with your amp. It’s far more than just an attenuator. At its core, it’s a fully integrated reactive load and 50-watt tube power amp that lets you push your favorite amps exactly where they sound best, then dial the volume to whatever the room calls for.
What makes the PS-2A stand apart is how natural it feels under the hands. The reactive load responds like a real speaker, so your amp retains its dynamics, depth, and harmonic complexity even at lower volumes. There’s none of that flat or choked character you get from traditional attenuators. It simply feels right.
It also works in the opposite direction. Smaller amps can be re-amplified through the built-in 6L6 power section, giving you more headroom and punch without sacrificing their character. Add in a transparent effects loop, flexible line outputs for recording or FOH, and fully adjustable impedance matching, and it becomes one of the most versatile tools you can have in a rig.
