One of Gibson’s most innovative takes on the Les Paul, the Recording model was built with the studio musician in mind. While its control layout might seem intimidating at first glance, it’s actually quite intuitive, offering a broad range of tonal versatility. With features like phase switching, hi-lo output settings, a 3-way selector for pickups and tone, and low impedance pickups that deliver rich warm single coil tone, this guitar was designed to handle any recording session. Additional controls for bass, treble, decade, and volume let you fine-tune your sound with precision.
This particular guitar has been well-played over the years and shows some expected signs of use, but it remains perfectly functional and versatile as it was nearly 50 years ago. Pick-guard had a crack in it near the output jack; this has been professionally repaired.
In excellent condition; especially for its age, with the typical wear you’d expect—scuffs, scratches, dings, and buckle rash, along with some mild weather checking. It’s been professionally setup for optimal playability. Includes it’s original hardshell case.
