The Gil Yaron Bone I is an extremely resonant and lightweight instrument designed to deliver a remarkably wide tonal range. It captures the classic vintage tonality and feel associated with great late-’50s single-cut guitars while adding a stronger-than-usual amount of the well-known “Tele on steroids” effect, giving the instrument exceptional clarity, attack, and dynamic response.
Each Bone I is built using carefully selected lightweight tonewoods and a construction method that enhances resonance and liveliness. The result is a guitar that feels alive in your hands, responding instantly to the player with outstanding articulation whether played clean or driven. At the heart of the electronics are Gil Yaron’s patented AirGap-II pickups, designed around the tonal foundation of late-’50s PAF humbuckers but engineered to offer an even broader tonal palette. Paired with a traditional 1950s-style wiring circuit, the controls remain smooth and musical across the full sweep of the knobs.
