Gretsch 6120 Double Cut Nashville Chet Atkins Model, 1968 Western Orange. Comes w/ Original HSC.

Vintage 1968 Gretsch Chet Atkins model with double cutaway in Western Orange. This guitar features later 60's Gretsch wiring, a zero fret and working mute; though we would be careful with the mute as the lever system is very old. The foam on the mute has been replaced. This guitar is mostly original with its vintage Bigsby, bridge and dual Filtertron hum-bucking pickups. The wooden base that the bridge is sitting on may not be original. Original wiring is still intact though some of the solder joints look to have been touched up. 

This vintage Gretsch plays exceptionally with a newer pro re-fret and Waverly open back tuners. Besides for a few chips, the original nitrate binding is still intact. Neck angle is perfect as is the truss rod. The frets are what you would find on a newer Gretsch Custom Shop guitar and fit the bill just perfectly. Also included is this guitars original hard shell case. 

A very cool piece of Gretsch history that can still be played and enjoyed thanks to the newer fret job and brand new setup. These guitars have one volume per pickup and a master volume.
