Guild DE-400 Duane Eddy Model, 1965, Sunburst. Clean example w/ OHSC & original Warranty of Craftsmanship

A mighty fine and clean example of a 1965 Guild DE-400 Duane Eddy model. The finish is in superb condition and the frets are also in great shape for a guitar of this age. Neck angle is perfect. Only the 3-way switch has been replaced. Other electronics are original. The bridge may or may not be original. The veneer overlay of the headstock started lifting at some point and was professionally glued back together before it could separate. This is the only repair that we know of. The guitar is structurally sound and the minor repair was done with great care.

This is certainly a great playing example, featuring a supple and low action as well as a recent pro setup. You’ll notice the serial number is the more desirable 5-digit type, meaning the neck was likely built in 1964.

Guitar comes with its original hard shell case and “Warranty of Craftsmanship”. A great find for both the player or collector alike. It’ll be hard to find another example as clean as this one. Weight is 6lbs 14oz with a nut width of 1 11/16".
