If you love your vintage Blackface combo amps, but are tired of the constant babying of these 55 + year old circuits and cabinets; the Lil’ King Reverb is for you. Truly a little dream amp.

We put the 1x12” model up against a well preserved original 1966 Princeton Reverb, and man; these Headstrong's are the real deal. The tone was all there and then some, given the added volume and tightened up bass provided by the Alessandro GA-SC64 12” speaker. Through the vintage 10” cab the Lil’ King behaved identically, but with a reduced noise floor.

With the Headstrong Lil’ King, it’s no longer necessary to use a 55 + year old amp in order to achieve your favorite clean and overdriven Blackface tones.

From Headstrong:Since its introduction in 2004 the Lil King Reverb has become the go to amp in homes, studios and stages throughout the world. Regularly used by many household names who own multiple vintage models. Call it a Princeton clone, replica, whatever, the Lil King gets the job done and more! 20 years later…the world's first commercially available reproduction of the 1964 Princeton Reverb.

We have painstakingly re-created one of the best small gig/rehearsal/recording amps of all time. Whether you are looking for a practice amp or a portable gig amp to take on the go, the Lil King fits the bill. The original came with an inefficient 10" speaker, which we also replicate for the die-hard purist using a 20-25 watt speaker. Our most popular model is outfitted with a 12" GA-SC64 40 watt ceramic speaker. This helps with more direct projection of the sound as well as boosting low end for a more defined bottom end.
