Adam Buchwald and his team at Iris are building some of the most responsive and inspiring acoustics that we have ever played, vintage instruments included. These guitars feel and sound like they would be at least double their price point. The bass response is just outrageous, as is the projection and nuance of each model.
The DF model features a comfortable slope shouldered dreadnaught body size, equivalent to a J-45 paired with a 25” scale length and 14 fret neck. This guitar is a flat-pickers dream with absolutely stunning projection and a beautiful singing mid-range. A very open, rich and warm flat-top. This particular DF features an Adirondack Spruce top which delivers huge overtones, clarity and note separation. You’d be hard pressed to find a style of music that the DF model doesn’t excel at.
