Adam Buchwald and his team at Iris are building some of the most responsive and inspiring acoustics that we have ever played, vintage instruments included. These guitars feel and sound like they would be at least double their price point. The bass response is just outrageous, as is the projection and nuance of even the smaller bodied models.
The MS-00 features a comfortable L-00 body size paired with a 24.75" scale length and 14 fret neck. You retain the clarity of a small bodied flat top, but with some added volume and easier access to the upper registers than with a 12 fret style guitar. The MS-00 has a sweet and woody tone that works equally well finger-picked or flat-picked. As you dig in the guitar becomes more crisp and open, while still retaining a beautiful warmth. A perfect instrument for blues, roots, accompaniment and even more contemporary styles of music.
