At the heart of the Rattler MK2 is JAM Pedals' newly developed proprietary discrete op-amp, designed to preserve the open, dynamic response and tube-like character associated with the original LM308-based circuit. This custom design ensures consistent performance without relying on increasingly scarce vintage components.

One of the most significant additions is the independently switchable Mid Boost circuit, which sits before the distortion stage. Rather than functioning as a conventional volume boost, it reshapes the pedal's frequency response, adding midrange presence, focus, and harmonic richness.
