Laurent Brondel’s Honeycaster DC Fiesta Red is a captivating embodiment of Stratocaster heritage, reimagined with a bespoke touch. This unique build is finished in a striking Fiesta Red lacquer, showcasing its custom pickguard and elegantly contoured basswood body.
The curly maple neck is complemented by a Brazilian rosewood slab fingerboard, reflecting the classic style Fender embraced in the 1960s. This fingerboard offers an exceptional playing experience, a rarity in modern builds due to its intricate crafting process. It features Jescar 51100 fret wire shaped to a Chunky “C” profile, inspired by the iconic 1958 Fender neck, measuring .84” at the 1st fret and .98” at the 12th. A comfortable 7.25” fingerboard radius and 1 5/8” nut width achieve a harmonious balance between vintage character and contemporary playability. The guitar is a true masterpiece of tone, weighing in at a manageable 7lbs 1oz.
Sonically, it boasts three Ron Ellis 54S pickups, delivering a rich tonal palette. The bridge pickup offers a bright, snappy response, while the middle and neck pickups provide the classic, woody clarity associated with legendary Stratocasters. The combination of all three pickups yields a versatile range of tones, perfect for any musical style.
Hardware includes a Kluson tremolo system with Raw Vintage saddles and springs, along with Gotoh staggered vintage-style tuners for enhanced tuning stability. This exquisite instrument comes in a G&G custom case, ensuring it remains protected and ready to inspire.
