Available is a brand new Stephen Marchione bolt-on neck, Carve-Top Solid Body. We've been awestruck by Stephens work in the past, but we were in disbelief once again when this masterpiece showed up. Stephen never seems to stop innovating. He pores his heart and soul; as well as a mass of knowledge and skill from a lifetime of luthiery into each of his creations. If there were ever a luthier at the top of his game, it would have to be Stephen Marchione.
This is one of those instruments that is indescribable by mere words. It needs to be experienced to be fully believed and understood. As soon as you do, it just clicks. Every nuance of your playing is not only heard but felt. The perfect weight distribution and effortless playability, makes for a guitar that feels like an extension of your body. Notes sustain in a long breath-like matter (acoustically or amplified) that we've never experienced from another electric guitar. This instrument is as alive as they come.
So much of the magic of a Marchione can be found in its construction. Each piece of Michigan Silver Maple (the very same species of Maple used on vintage 59 Les Pauls) is hand picked and tap tuned, as well as hand carved to the appropriate thickness by one master luthier. The neck angle plays a big role in the feel of these instruments as well; providing a low, supple action that not many builders can achieve without excessive fret buzz. Not at all the case with this guitar. The fretwork is perfection and each note rings out clear and true all the way up the neck. This is one aspect of Stephen's work that is so difficult to describe without trying one out for yourself.
This Bolt-On Cave Top Solid Body features a beautiful sounding set of Tone Specific Marchione Custom-Wound Pickups. A PAF style Humbucker in the bridge and two Strat style Single-Coils. This set working alongside the highly resonant Honduran Mahogany body with carved Maple top, gives this guitar a rich voice that truly make it a master of all trades. They are outrageously clear and dynamic with great warmth and presence. You can pull off anything from Rock, Jazz, Blues, Fusion, Western Swing and everything in between.
