MB Guitars 1958 Whiteguard in Blonde
This MB Guitars 1958 Whiteguard inspired model delivers the character, resonance and unmistakable charm of a classic late fifties Tele style instrument. The body is a hand shaped 1 piece premium lightweight swamp ash build with smooth rounded edges and authentically executed period correct fifties routing. The neck is a handmade 1 piece flat sawn plain maple design that follows true fifties contours and feels instantly familiar to vintage Tele enthusiasts. A double acting single truss rod sits inside with the proper vintage cross head adjuster at the heel.
The fingerboard has a 9.5 inch radius and is fitted with Jescar 6125 fretwire for a comfortable modern vintage feel. The neck profile is a full and satisfying 0.89 C that measures between 0.089 and 0.099 inches, offering the classic fifties hand filling shape. The finish is a paper thin nitrocellulose lacquer applied directly from the wood up which allows the guitar to resonate naturally. An unbleached handmade bone nut, Gotoh premium machine heads and a period correct butterfly string tree complete the headstock. A 1958 serial number neck plate adds the perfect final detail.
The electronics are built to match original 1958 specifications. The pickups are hand wound for MB Guitars by Alan Dingwall and capture the dynamic and articulate voice associated with a true whiteguard Tele. A Sozo oil in paper capacitor, CTS 250k pots with a tight 5 percent tolerance, a CRL 3 way switch, a Switchcraft jack and traditional cloth wiring ensure authentic tone and reliability. Hardware includes Callaham heavy knurled flat top knobs, a tophat switch tip, and an MB stamped vintage premium bridge fitted with Callaham compensated steel saddles for accurate intonation across all strings.
Finished in a beautifully executed white blonde nitro, this guitar weighs only 7.1 pounds and feels exceptionally lively. It arrives in a Gator vintage style hard case and includes a signed MB spec card and MB guitar pick.
This MB Guitars 1958 Whiteguard captures the soulful simplicity and snap of a true late fifties classic with uncompromising craftsmanship throughout.
