Ronin Coyote Custom Build Ser # RCT019
Due to the Covid 19 situation we have teamed up with Ronin to be able to price this beautiful NEW Coyote, without charging you for the upgraded (very rare) 4-Button Tornipulator Circuit. This guitar stock w/out the Tornipulator would normally be priced at $6,500 but this beauty has the holy grail of Ronin Guitar upgrades. Normally the Tornipulator is a $700.00 up-charge; but this guy is available to you, brand new through our store at $6,350.00 This fine instrument will only appreciate in value. Not many of these Ronin Offsets show up on the market used if ever, as once you play one, you'll likely be saying good bye to your favorite Jag or JM. Coyote players keep their Coyote!!
As a Coyote player myself I can say that this guitar has exceeded even our stores greatest expectations. There's nothing out there quite like a Ronin in the high-end Luthier-built guitar market. The Ronin team has built a new line of exciting modern day classics with cutting edge design implementation and extreme attention to detail. Everything from the feel of their hand carved necks, fretwork, impeccable setups, extremely resonant Master Grade Old-Growth Redwood bodies and Ronins own original hand-wound pickup designs; all culminates to create instruments that are as inspiring to play and hear as they are to marvel at. Not to mention their incredibly lightly applied and artfully aged finishes and revolutionary work in getting the most out of a guitars Vibrato unit, by precisely dialing in just the right break angle and tension at the vibrato and incorporating the correct radius into their neck pockets.
The Coyote was the last model designed by Ronin. These are very rare guitars as it is and the specs on this one really make it stand out even further. This Coyote features a beautiful and lightly applied, Aged Daphne Blue all Nitro finish, a Mint Guard with 4-Button Tornipulator, two of Ronins Stormcrow Wound Foil-Bucker pickups (a bit hotter than average Foil-Buckers), an ABR1 Bridge/ Mastery Vibrato setup and a Magic Button (Internal Specialized Piezo Disk/ Harp Mic)
The team at Ronin really know how to set-up their guitars and vibrato systems perfectly. The break angle of the strings from the bridge to vibrato & tailpiece is fine-tuned so the instrument can play its absolute best. This Ronin Coyote also comes with a roller bar (inside of the case) for added sustain if wanted, while eliminating the sympathetic 'ghost' notes that ring out after a note is picked or strummed on an Offset Vibrato equipped guitar. For players who enjoy those types of sympathetic tones, the Magic button switch which activates a piezo-style pickup inside of the guitar's body captures every little nuance this instrument is capable of producing. Mixing the two magnetic pickups with it, can yield some incredible results tonally and can get you to some very convincing Dobro, Lap or Pedal-steel sounding territory.
The Coyote has a 24" scale length; though it feels slightly closer to a long scale (think Jazzmaster) offset guitar by design. We were amazed when comparing it to a vintage L-Series 1960's Fender Jaguar, these guitars just feel right. The Stormcrow-Wound Foil-Bucker pickups are specially wound, to give shorter scale guitars where the pickups are always closer together, an incredible and well rounded focused tone with impressively clear note-separation This is due to their special "Wide Range Style" wind and unique coil geometry. No stone has been left unturned on this spectacular instrument.
The neck on this guitar is a full feeling Soft V to C profile, that measures .869" at the 1st fret & .915" at the 12th fret.
Now to discuss the 4-button Tornipulator circuit. If you are into Avant-Garde music or like to build unique landscapes of sound while using pedals like loopers or just want to use the momentary Kill-Switch or LPF alone for Trem/Vibrato type sounds; it's all at your finger tips.
The 4-Button Tornipulator has these 4 functions; all of which can be used in conjunction together.
The first button (all momentary) activates the Microphone, the second introduces 60 Cycle Hum and is essentially a ground lift, the third button is a Kill Switch and last but not least is Izzy (head Luthier/designer at Ronin's Low Pass Filter momentary-button that can interact with the mic or be used alone. This is the first ever Coyote in this Color scheme and is possibly the prettiest we've seen. The relic is very natural looking and the Aged Daphne Blue finish with Mint Guard really makes the Gold Foil-Bucker's just pop. This is a rare guitar built to the highest standards, it feels like an old friend while encouraging you to step outside the box and your comfort zone. Don't miss out on this gem.
