This build in particular incorporates some of the most loved and innovative Ronin features like their famous Magic Button which brings into play a specialized passive piezo Harp Mic that resides inside a cavity in the body. This can lead to many musical results and enhances the sounds of the very resonant lightweight Old Growth Redwood body. Upon pressing it, you'll be able to enhance all the subtle nuances of the instrument. Letting you tap and play behind the nut or scratch at the springs. You can also get acoustic like tones that are blend-able with the other pickups. As you roll down your guitars volume control/controls, it becomes more present, this can lead to lap-steel, banjo, dobro and many other experimental but very musical sounds.
This Morningstar features three Ronin wound Foil-Bucker Mini pickups. Ronin pickups are so
satisfying to the ear. They need to be heard to be believed. You can get everything from fat-growling PAF humbucker style tones, mixed with more than a
just a hint of Gold-Foil clarity at its best, to more ethereal & airy Strat-like tones that cut through the mix without sounding the slightest bit harsh (perfection). Mixed with the Magic Button, you will always find new and exciting tones from this instrument. This guitar just inspires & begs to be played.
The neck is nice and chunky in a very tasteful way. It features Ronin’s masterfully hand carved V to C Profilr which measures .88" - .95”
