This Shabat Lynx DZ is a striking, high-performance boutique instrument built with the meticulous craftsmanship the brand is known for. Finished in deep black nitrocellulose lacquer with a full matching headstock and lightly aged gold hardware, it has a bold, elegant presence that feels both modern and timeless. The nitro finish allows the alder body to resonate freely while promising graceful aging over time.
The quartersawn hard maple neck is carved to a comfortable Medium C profile and paired with a compound 9.5”–12” radius, making it equally at home for chord work down low and effortless bending up high. A one-piece maple construction adds snap, clarity, and immediacy to the attack, while Dunlop 6105 frets provide precise intonation and a fast, controlled feel. The sculpted neck heel contour ensures easy access to the upper register.
Tonally, this Lynx DZ is exceptionally versatile. It features a Lollar Special S single coil set paired with an El Rayo bridge humbucker, delivering everything from articulate, glassy cleans to powerful, harmonically rich drive. A push/pull phase shift on the middle pickup opens up distinctive out-of-phase textures that cut through a mix with a vocal, expressive quality. The Vega-Trem VT1 Ultra Trem offers smooth, musical pitch control with excellent tuning stability, all without permanent body modification.
Aesthetically, the guitar is elevated by a parchment pickguard paired with an anodized gold guard, black pickup covers, vintage tea cup knob, and aged gold hardware. It ships with Optima Gold Frank Zappa strings and is dialed in for E standard tuning.
