Tao T-Bucket Set Neck "Purple Metallic" 2015

Here is an exceptionally rare and gorgeous guitar built by John and Serge of Tao Guitars. Tao has built a reputation for being some of the most forward thinking Luthiers of all time, who's attention to detail is second to none. Each instrument is a fully hand crafted work of art down to the handmade pickup covers, control plates, knobs & even the switch tip. They use the lightest matte Nitro finishes in the world. The finish on this guitar is paper thin; allowing the wood to breath and resonate to its fullest. This example, much like my personal T-Bucket as well as others we've sold is incredibly well balanced and light weight at only 7lbs 2oz. Bolt on neck T-Buckets are rare enough as it is, but these Set-Neck version are as hard to find on the used market as any exceptionally rare guitar.
We must say when you look at and feel this instrument up close, you will be nothing short of amazed. The way in which it is sculpted mixed with the ultra smooth finish, lets this guitar become an extension of whichever player is lucky enough to spend some time with it or better yet take her home. The heel carve also grants easy access to the upper register frets while looking like the fine work of art that it is. 
There is a beautiful "Gauge Panel Marker" decal in the same silver color as the headstock decal on the bass side of the neck.
To make playability a breeze the frets gradually get thinner as you play up the neck, so cramping on chords is never an issue. Bending notes is also extremely easy with the Rosewood boards 12" fingerboard radius.
The pickups in this particular guitar were built by the incredible Barfuss Pickups. In the neck position we have a P-33 (like a more open and airy Wide Range Humbucker.) In the bridge position Tao chose a P.A.F style Humbucker. There's so much versatility in this choice of pickups. This guitar can just as easily twang or breath fire in the bridge position while the middle position can achieve a perfect platform for chordal passages and fingerpicking thump while the neck pup will more than satisfy a broad range of players from Jazz to Rock and everything in between. 
This Tao is in incredible condition and plays like a dream. It was currently setup to perfection by Cris of Mirabella Guitars in Long Island NY. It is strung up with 10's and has a low action of only 4 64th's E to E at the 12th fret, with room to go either up or down. Comes with COA/Spec Sheet as well as Tao's handmade truss-rod adjustment tool in an SKB flight case.
There are only a few small finish scuffs as seen in the pictures in some places mostly on the sides of the body and by the switch tip, where an incorrect switch-tip was being used. The correct handmade Tao switch tip is now on the guitar and covers any finish blemish when in the treble or bass pickup positions (as shown in pics)
These blems are very minor and absolutely do not effect the guitar structurally what so ever. Tao was still kind enough to send us some lacquer of the correct color, in case you want your tech to restore the guitar back to the way it was when this masterpiece was first built.
