The Collings I-35 LC Deluxe is a beautifully realized take on the classic double-cutaway “ES” Semi-Hollow style guitar, built with the kind of precision and restraint that Collings is known for. Finished here in Faded Cherry, it leans into that timeless semi-hollow aesthetic with a warmth and subtle depth that feels right at home on this platform.

It has all the vintage character you’d expect, but with a tighter low end, a more focused midrange, and a clarity that holds together no matter how hard you push it. The laminate maple construction paired with a maple center block gives it that perfect balance between resonance and control, while the premium mahogany neck offers a smooth, solid feel in the hands. The C shape carve is comfortable and familiar, making it easy to settle into across a wide range of playing styles.

Outfitted with factory-upgraded ThroBak pickups, this one delivers a rich, vintage-leaning voice with added articulation and depth. There’s a sweetness on top, a woody midrange, and a low end that stays defined without getting loose. It’s a very responsive instrument that continues to open up the more time you spend with it.

The grained ivoroid binding, premium wood appointments, and overall build quality give it a refined look that never feels overdone. Like most Collings instruments, it’s understated in the best way and built to a level that’s hard to match.
